O Festival de Pedro II já está consolidado, sendo que essa cidade se tornou um importante destino turístico, houve expansão de hospedagens, considerando que hoje existem mais de 250 pousadas nessa cidade. Teve, ainda, a expansão dos negócios da Opala, a geração de renda para a população/Durante o Festival de 2009 aconteceram atividades como Feira do Artesanato, roteiro turístico, circuito de enduro a pé, rapel cachoeira de salto liso e muitos shows. “O trabalho do governador Wellington Dias nos faz mostrar para o Brasil que o Nordeste tem muito o que oferecer, que o Nordeste é forte na hora de enfrentar dificuldades.
